I didn't get involved
in digital design
because I loved computing.
Quite the opposite,
I don't enjoy toying
with computer components
and I'm not interested
in delving deep into the
operating system.
I have absolutely
no desire to tune,
tweak or tinker.
For
me, the computer is
a creative tool, and
at its best, it is
an effortless transparent
device
for art and design.
That's why many graphic
designers use the Mac.
Macs
are not perfect, but
they are
designed for visual
people like me. Here
are some reasons why
. . .
1.
Mac owners don't have
to be hardware experts
- the Mac comes fully
configured. All the
parts are controlled
by Apple so they are
designed to work together
harmoniously.
2.
Macs are intuitive
- the interface is
easy to navigate and
allows users to focus
on the task at hand
rather than the computer
itself. That is why
most schools, writers,
artists, designers
and scientists have
made the Mac their
platform of choice.
3.
Macs are flexible - they automatically recognize
PC files and PC disks. As a result, Mac users
are able to exchange data freely with PC users.
4.
Macs are safe - they
are not susceptible
to PC viruses and
operating system security
holes.
5.
The Macintosh contains the ColorSync color calibration
system which automatically
adjusts for the differences
between different
brands of scanners,
displays, and printers,
so that colors and
contrast remain true
to the original -
from the first scan,
to the final print
run.
