Since 1996, I have devoted my energies to growing programs in digital media, art, and design. I began at Santa Barbara City College as adjunct faculty, teaching Graphic Design, Photoshop, Interface Design, and the Multimedia Arts Practicum.
In 1998, I was recruited by the University of California Santa Barbara Extension to develop a New Media Program under the Art & Design Department. In that position, I developed an engaging program that provided students with real world hands-on training for creative jobs in the digital media industry.
In 2002, Adobe recommended my husband Tom Tuttle, Photoshop expert, and I to the director of the Digital Media Academy as instructors for their summer courses at Stanford University. Since that time, Tom and I have been teaching specialized 40-hour intensive digital media courses on the Stanford campus every summer.
I am currently an Associate Professor at Beacon College, in Leesburg Florida, teaching the Web & Digital Media Degree Program in the CIS Department. The college has created a state-of-the-art Mac Lab to facilitate the growth of this program. It is a privilege and a joy to have joined Beacon College, where I have found a home for my love of teaching and learning.
